Toilet and Wet Area Waterproofing.
Toilets, bathrooms, yards, balconies and other internal wet areas. Small areas, many penetrations, and the leak shows up in someone else's ceiling. This page sets out the layers, the order of work and the test we carry out before the tiler comes.
The build-up.
Four layers, from the slab to the finished floor.
From the slab up
- BRUSHCRETE FX, three coatsFlexible two-component polymer-modified cementitious membrane, taken 300 mm up every wall, 1.8 m on shower walls, and around every pipe.
- Cement and sand screedTo falls, to the floor trap.
- Tile AdhesivesFlexible, so tiling movement does not crack the membrane.
- Tiles or other finishesBy others, after our ponding test.
How the job runs.
